What do they call English Muffins in England?

4. The closest match I know of would be 'crumpet', but it's a different look/taste/feel

It's about half the height, and crunchier.

They don't sell "English Muffins" from "Thomas's" in England, as far as I'm aware.

6. Crumpets. Same as Canada.

I actually like them a lot better. They're a little more doughy and yeasty tasting. But they have a ton of little holes in them, so butter goes right through them. They sell them at several local grocery stores here in the Detroit area.

I told them American muffins. Crumpets are completely different from a muffin by the way. As different as a bagel is to a Muffin of any nationality.
