Tonight at Tavernertavern: The long awaited debut of Blind Pig in a bottle (again)

Long ago a brewer named Vinnie ran a brewery in the San Diego area called Blind Pig Brewery. They had a few offerings, but they are most famous for inventing the West Coast IPA, a dry, hoppy concoction that makes you concentrate on the hop, in all of its beauty. Well, they went out of business, but Vinnie came to Santa Rosa to run Russian River Brewery. He took the recipe with him and Blind Pig IPA became one of the most sought after IPA's in the world. Here it is, at only 6% alcohol, chewy as a beer with twice its strength, with all of the focus on the hops.

So you can imagine my happiness when this hoppiness was to be bottled again. Available in a 1.1 pt bottle, this stuff is nectar.
