I have returned from my journey...sunburned, tired, and happy
A long day, lots of gas $$, a sunburn, some awesome time sitting by a river in silence (not a car to be heard for miles), a cute bullfrog, a hummingbird, driving back country dirt roads, and fresh country air.

Good time with the Ex, very nice day. I survived the driving, even the 30-45 minute standstill while they cleaned up a massive 4 car smashup on I-91 in Holyoke, MA.

:hi:

1. sounds like a great day bi_baby.
:pals:

I only had a brief moment of tranquility this morning when I stopped for a couple of minutes by the lake near my house around 7am.

2. It was!
I haven't been down to the river (my old swimming hole) in years. The Ex swam, and I took pics and knitted on the beach. Lovely. Then we went out for a beer after driving around for a while on the backroads. Good times.

4. It definitely was...good to get outta the city
Back to where everyone drives 30 mph, stops for pedestrians, and where you can actually get out of cell phone range easily. Awesome. :D
