10. Crazy people like me. I attract them.

In seminary, a bunch of us took a class at Harvard and had to take the T to Cambridge. My fellow seminarians finally refused to sit with me, because the crazies would always come over and start talking--at least--to me. Otoh, my classmates did always ride in the same car with me, in case one of the crazies turned on me.

One night last summer, my dad and I were sitting on my back porch. I was telling my dad what a crazy magnet I am, when some guy just came up the steps, to tell me there were two "CIA guys in full uniform" in my front yard. He asked if I had "enough string". I assured him I had just the right amount of string to deal with the CIA. My dad thought we should go check the front yard. No one was there.

Crazy people like me.
