Really like Rachael Maddow, but.....

her filling in for Keith Olberman really shows how writers and hosts grow to really blend and compliment each other. While watching her substituting, the show and her just don't seem like as good as fit as KO.

Hopefully she'll get her own show with her own writers.

Just an observation.

1. I really enjoyed Rachel last week. I thought she was a really good fit

to the format and worked well with the material. My wife much prefers Rachel over Keith.

2. Did you think the sync was off a bit?

While I was watching it, I felt something was just a bit off - like maybe the format wasn't best for her personality and the show has been groomed so well toward KO and his own personality that anyone would be hard to find to fully fill in. I do hope she gets her own show soon.

3. Not really. She isn't quite as edgy as KO is, but she worked fine

in that format, and may even be a bit more listenable (is that a word??)

5. It shows that it's the writers who make the show, not the host.

They're nearly indistinguishable. Rachel is better at delivering a joke.
