Ok, the song Blue Monday by Foreigner.....I must know and I can't find anything

According to this site the song "Blue Morning, Blue Day" was written by Lou Gramm and Mick Jones.^{coroborative link}

According to Google's list of music for David Cassidy, there are only two songs that he performed that have the word "Morning" in them:

Album: Cherish
Title: Where is the morning

Album: Then and Now
Title: I woke up in love this morning.

Based on this information, and my inability to find anything online linking the name "David Cassidy" and "blue morning", I'd have to say that I'm pretty sure that he didn't write the song. All of the albums and singles I've been able to find also lead me to believe that he never covered the song, unless he's done so recently enough that no one has posted anything about it yet.
