Is The Dark Knight worth going to see by myself?
All of my friends flaked out on me and I hate going to movies myself. But I've anticipated this one for so long that I might just do it. What does everyone think?

1. No.
I just saw it. I was highly unimpressed.

I can't recommend paying money for it. Although if you go out with a group of friends for the evening, that might be a way to have more fun.

10. I think you're just faking disagreement.
You simply use that as an excuse for failing to interact with people.

2. Please use this link to my DU journal. I've reviewed it there and it might help you decide.

3. Thanks, I'm glad you brought it down to reality a bit for me
I'm probably going to go see it and I'm gambling that I will have a slightly higher opinion of it than you did because of bias. But we'll see...

11. I gave it 9/10 -- almost perfect! You will like it more? No worries.
My husband had some quibbles about the multiple story lines they tried to inject into the last hour. The film runs 152 minutes. It got a bit tedious after the first hour. They just tried to weave too many improbable plotlines and a little blurring of who the good guys were.

Contrived = it kept on going from one thing to another. They just kept creating one episode after another with the Joker. It somehow was not cohesive. But perhaps you will like it even more!

5. I do like how you write.
I probably won't be seeing this one as I would be one of the queasy ones, but I liked your review.

8. Thanks so much. I also saw "Mamma Mia" and "Space Chimps."
Will post those over the weekend. It's too nice a day to be inside and I don't have firm deadlines here! :loveya:

4. I saw it by myself, and I'd say so
If you didn't care for Batman Begins, it won't change your mind. If you liked Batman Begins, or were even on the fence about it, it's well worth your time.

6. I consider Batman Begins to probably be the best comic book movie of all time
I bought my ticket a few minutes ago so it's safe to say I'm going. I guess you don't really talk to anybody during movies so it's not like it's a big deal whether or not you go alone.

9. I just love Christian Bale. He looks like many of the handsome, dark-haired men I dated.

:loveya:

However, I still love Michael Keaton's luscious lips.

But then there's Aaron Eckhardt's delightful chin-dimple.

I think I'm building a Frankenstein of the mind here... got stop this!

13. Yes. It was excellent; the best movie I've seen in a long while.
