I almost drove my car out of my driveway

completely ASLEEP last night! :scared:

I've had some trouble sleeping lately, so I went to my PC and got some Ambien.

I am an RN so I did plenty of research on the drug, I knew of the possible side effects but I've been doing OTC sleepers for a long time now.

Anyway, I got up... ate a bowl of Ice cream, and some pretzels... I have no idea why.. I hate pretzels.

I then grabbed my keys ( all while in my nightie ) got in the car and started the engine. I apparently started my windshield wipers and was listening to Jane Addiction LOUDLY... which prompted my husband to come outside and FREAK OUT to get me out of the car.

This morning? I remember NOTHING.

The Ambien has been tossed... I am going back to herbals!

1. I've heard of ambien doing weird shit.

2. I just feel so stupid..

especially after doing research.... UGGG.

We medical folk are NOT IMMUNE. I need to keep telling myself that!

3. About a year ago my friend "sleep-drove" while on Ambien and ran a red light, hitting another driver

Luckily, no one was hurt, and the damage to both cars was minor.

Her husband confiscated and flushed the Ambien.
