Third house showing in a row this morning.
I'm foolishly beginning to fantasize about my next cozy little cottage that will be MINE ALL MINE (if I get a job, that is). Please send good vibes. It's been the same people each time. PLEASE!!!!!

4. 3 showings...same people?
That usually means one loves it (and won't consider any other house) and the other hates it (and refuses to live there.) They keep re-viewing it so that they each can try to convince the other of their POV.

Often it can alternately mean, they love the house and can't afford it...so they keep coming back to figure out exactly how much they love it...and what they're willing to give-up to be able to afford it. (That may not be a good thing in this economy as they'll have hell to find financing.)

Or they're trying to decide between multiple properties they love.

Dirty secret I learned from a real-estate agent: Take a frying pan about 30 minutes before they're supposed to get there, add a bit of oil and some cinnamon and let it fry over high heat until the cinnamon becomes aromatic. Let cool. Without cleaning the pan, walk it through the house once (so the smell permeates) and stash it somewhere inconspicuous near the entryway and kitchen. The smell of cooked cinnamon is one which registers as "home" subconsciously for most people. For people on the edge...it usually will push them over into buying a home. If anybody asks, you baked cookies (snickerdoodles) all morning for a bake-sale. People eat that stuff up. Remember, to you, it's a house; to them, it's a home, their dreams and ambitions.
