It have almost 3 months this my knee injury, and I have been afraid not use the inch wide knee brace and cane.
I will still be careful but everything is looking normal again.

1. Good to hear you're getting better. |
|
I've been nursing a sprained ankle for the past week, and hoping I didn't do any real damage like a bad ligament tear. Seeing the podiatrist a week from Tuesday to deal with the ankle, and with all the various foot problems from having a residual club foot.

2. Best of luck with your ankle. |
|
I have torn the ligaments now in both ankles and left knee in 5 years time.
I have friend who was born with a club foot, she will have surgery soon again.
Good luck with the Doctor.

Club feet are no fun. Last surgery I had was about ten years ago, but it only solved some of the problems I've been having. I do have the sinking feeling I'll be getting the knife again...

3. It's a weird feeling isn't it? |
|
I remember when I tore my ACL I had to wait four months until I could have my surgery. I wore a brace that whole time. It always felt weak and wobbly every time I took it off. Even when I was sitting down.

4. I still need to wear the brace but less and less every day. |
|
No more cane period.
It is just the fear factor.

5. Are you doing rehab right now? |
|
At this point you should be doing at least some sort of exercise designed to strengthen your knee. That's the best thing for ensuring you don't reinjure your knee.

That's my regret - not dealing with my ankle earlier, and not asking for proper therapy last time it got worked on.

At least right now I have COBRA insurance, which should last until I get my next gig, so I'll be making use of my insurance.
