8. UPDATED: He denied the family's accusations. There are always two sides to every story.

13. Don't ask me to "look all over the Internet", or ask me to Google your own post
And when you provide a Yahoo News link (not the People link you just changed it to in your edit), make sure it relates to your post.

Otherwise it's kinda, you know, pointless.

19. UPDATE: Did you get my PM?
:hi:

Sorry about yesterday...

By the way, I was a Groucho Marx fan for years. I see you used his face as your avatar. We've probably seen all of his movies at one time or another. Can't remember the name of his TV game show, but still remember the duck dropping down with the secret word.

RU a peach from Georgia? I see you are a man. For some reason, Kay made me think you are a woman. Interesting. I've gone to meetings in Atlanta, and used to take a ride through Georgia on my way to overnight camps in SC and NC. When I was a child, I used to think the town of North Augusta, South Carolina -- was funny. It was north of Augusta, but in another state.

We sometimes think of going to Savannah or other places during the shoulder seasons -- spring or fall. Maybe you have some suggestions?

Cordially,

Radio Lady

14. Regardless of whether it's true or not...
Regardless of whether it's true or not, I've learned that it's usually in my best interest to separate the art from the artist.

Else I'd never be able to watch a Bing Crosby movie again-- and he's one of my fav's!

17. Excellent point, LanternWaste. Goes for family members, too.
My family backstory is difficult, but I have to remember my father -- the multitalented lawyer, politician, inventor, artist and violinist -- did some wonderful things -- but he assaulted me and my mother. She tolerated it; I fought it tooth and nail. It was just the three of us, and I had no siblings or aunts and uncles available to help me avoid the blows.

Now that they are both gone, I just try to remember the good times. Most of the fights were over men I was seeing whom he did not approve of.

You know, he was right all along.
