1. Not here.
Sun's out. Warm; about 90.

Now later tonight and tomorrow there will be some rain. :)

But nice excuse to post some Stevie Ray!

3. I am SO glad I got the chance to see him live.
I hardly knew who he was back in 1983-ish. I just knew he had been on David Bowie's "China Girl" album. I saw him at Fiesta (La Semana Alegre) in San Antonio.

4. I saw him in 1990.
Not long before his death. Excellent concert...one of the best I've ever attended.

5. I almost drove off the road when I heard he died.
Almost 18 years ago now. August of 1990. :(

11. Yeah, same here.
We all got together and drank beer and cried--the group of us that went to the concert.

I saw him in June 1990. Never realized it would be the last time.

6. I saw him too...I still remember it
I was just a kid, but my uncle took me to "The Biggest Party In Texas", some Miller Lite thing at the Astrodome. It was SRV, the Fabulous Thunderbirds and The Who

I still remember the light shining off the SRV on his guitar.

7. You know, I think the T-birds were the headliner that year at Fiesta.
I actually saw Jimmie Vaughan at McBride's Gun Store here in Austin a few years ago.

Back in 1983, SRV was Jimmie's brother. :)
