Long weekend already

Gotta finish clearing the kitchen for the exterminators on Monday. The complex is having all of the buildings done this summer. Feels like the Sword of Damocles hanging over my head. :( Missed my friend's live band last night so I would be functional for today. Got the "see ya, I met someone else" e-mail from a young lady that answered my personal--'sokay, we never met IRL and she seemed too much like a workaholic to me, anyway. My technophobic mother is whining that I can't stop by and give her a computer lesson (see above) and my IT brother may not stop by 'cause he's being a jerk--long story.

On a brighter note, the home team won their regional pro soccer match (USL pro women's league), and they play the regional final tonight. :woohoo:

All of this on a rare weekend post. :hi:

I have to empty my bedroom into my living room and live out here for a week so that the building managerment can replace the carpet in my room. The room flooded during a thunder storm and it smells horrible in there.

Nobody is available to come over and help, so I'm somehow going to try to do this alone. :(

I won't be able to move the furniture, obviously, but I should be able to empty everything into boxes and push some of those. I'll have to bribe my building super to do the rest if my nephew can't do it.

2. I can appreciate your pain

and you have it a bit {arms stretched wide} harder than I. I had a week's notice to prepare. Fortunately, I don't have to move furniture; just clearing the rooms with food and piping, i.e. kitchen and bathrooms, is plenty. Down to the last few tasks and it's early afternoon. I expect to finish today. Eating out for couple of days won't be too bad.
