So I made the fried chicken (no cornflakes).

Mr. LIW and the kids loved it, thank goodness! We had a mess o' fried chicken, mashed potatoes with cream gravy, corn, sauteed zucchini (fresh from the garden), and fresh, warm baking powder biscuits (from scratch).

In the oven right now: chocolate zucchini cake.

On tap for late-night snacks in a few hours: deviled eggs.
