What possible difference could it make in Professional terms? Did it negatively affect his acting skills? Not that I have ever seen. For that matter what possible correlation is ANY artist's politics in terms of their artistic abilities? Absolutely none, unless they choose to directly incorporate their politics into their art.

3. I know. It is one of those mysteries of nature. How could he play all those |
|
decent characters and vote for the GOP. He must have been a great actor or something.

5. Ronald Reagan was once a Democrat. So were Strom Thurman and Bull Conner. |
|
Republicans then, weren't what Republicans are now.
Even Nixon, awful as he was in other ways, supported the ERA and the EPA.

6. Nixon was liberal compared to today's Republicans |

He also started the "war on cancer" - a national effort to find a cure for cancer.
He supposedly supported universal health care as well, which would be a tremendous pro-business move over the long term.

Sad isn't it?
Maybe the pendulum is going to swing back soon.

10. Eisenhower was a Republican too, and he was a decent president. As was Lincoln... |

There are good repubs and bad dems. I'll agree this line-drawing stuff was cool at age 8, but there's a time things get over the top.
