Rather than saying "I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT COMPUTERS!" when I give you very basic, straightforward instructions. You can do this. All you have to do is do what I say. That way I don't get stuck here when my shift is supposed to be over and you will have functioning internet services.

of say, a toaster repairman? Apparently they know enough about computers to determine where the problem lies - so they're not only wasting your time, they're lying to you.

i get that one all the time too.
bless there hearts.
I definitely prefer them to the..."hey hey - why do you need my IP address? I'm not giving you that kind of information. You could do something with that"
So many times I've just wanted to respond with "bitch that's MY Ip address...you are just leasing it"
actually I have kinda said that a time or two. minus the bitch part.
