An apology to Sushi eaters |
|
I swore I would never - EVER eat sushi and scoffed at the fools who risked eating raw fish.
I hang my head in shame today. I understand. I don't know what came over me today but while out with a client for lunch at a Japanese restaurant with a sushi bar I tried spicy tuna and spicy salmon rolls.
All I can say is again, I understand, what flavor! And for most of my life I didn't eat any seafood not even tuna fish sandwiches (in the last year of so I started eating some grilled salmon now and then) but this was one of my top eating experiences I really couldn't get enough of the spicy tuna.

1. I'm glad you came aboard! Raw fish is really the best fish, most times. |
|
Especially tuna - especially some really good, fatty, wonderfully pricey toro.

4. You know I was thinking about that too |
|
I had just about worked myself up to go try that too but ran out of time. Next time for sure.

5. I just don't care for the seaweed. |
|
Or maybe it's whatever is used to bind the rice.
I prefer just the meat itself. :9

9. I do like the seaweed though |
|
I also liked the bit of rice as a balance.
But I will defiantly try the Sashimi to get the full raw fish flavor experience next time.

7. I prefer nigiri to nori. |
|
I think the rice balances out the protein.

Had it for the first time about 3 months ago. I didn't do cartwheels after having it. Not that I could do cartwheels anyway mind you. But it still won't replace a good grilled walleye or salmon steak.
