1. All the money in the world couldn't motivate me to click on that link.

2. It was disturbing...
however is it is vital (to me) to bear witness to the atrocities of humanity. (I'm using the term humanity loosely to refer to these swine.) If nobody sees, who can speak out? If nobody listens, how can we say "We know what was done, we will not forget."

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. - Edmund Burke

1,000 people watched in a stadium and they certainly did nothing.

This reminds me that I have to mail my donation to Amnesty and write some letters I promised to send on their behalf. You don't have to click the link but I ask if you (everyone) have some free time, go to the Amnesty website and volunteer to write some letters...they make a difference. We got several political prisoners released last year and lifted the spirits of hundreds more, brought pressure on some evil regimes and frankly it feels good for the spirit. It lets the monsters know that we're watching and we're not forgetting. They cannot silence all of us; others will hear and know and not forget.

4. You should feel better
That kind of thing used to happen all the time. Now, things like that are so rare that it garners international attention and condemnation whenever they happen, and only take place in the most anarchic places (Somalia, Afghanistan etc.) There was a time when things like this used to happen everywhere, all the time. That doesn't make events like this any easier to take, but at least we can feel somewhat comforted, I hope, by the knowledge that we are very close to eradicating this horrid behavior entirely.
