NYC - Did anyone see the pirates marching through the EV today?
What was that about? It was really cool. 150 pirates marching through the streets of the East Village. Only one banner had text: Impeach Bush. The rest of the flags were skull & crossbones.

Who were those pirates?

So I assume they were going to board the ferry.

Seriously, I think it was a performance/protest. They were all costumed. There was a drum corps.

Effort... this is a post from IndyMedia, although it does look like a really funny show, it is not a sea grass-roots effort of dissafected New York Pirates, but an organized bunch of actors/performers.

It was very funny. They were chanting "Arrggh!"

I followed them for a while because of the "Impeach Bush" banner.
