I think the awards show gets hyped more than some of the movies that are competing. I'm not watching the awards nor have I seen any of the movies that are up for the awards. I don't even know who's nominated for what.

I rarely go to the movies and almost never watch tv. It just seems like a horrible waste of time and most of it's crap anyway.
