1. If you really want to know:
1. My glasses scare people (they are so thick)

2. My glasses are so thick they hurt my nose

3. When I wear glasses regularly my prescription changes even faster

4. I am not a candidate for laser (I'm too far-sighted)

5. There are other things wrong with me, but that's all I can think of at the moment.

2. I hate the pressure of glasses on my ears and face.
glasses get out of alignment, causing distortion and headaches
contacts never get out of alignment
glasses get dirty, and are easily scratched when cleaning them.
contacts are always clean
bifocals are horrible for computer work
contacts allow me to see computer excellently
frames of glasses block peripheral vision
contacts enhance peripheral vision
I also like the feel of the saline in my eye when I pop them in every morning, it is soothing and moisturizing to my eye.

I have monovision contacts which while not perfect, allow me to do computer work w/o glasses. When I also wore a headphone all day long, the headphone pressed on my glasses frames, aggravating the discomfort.

3. Ah...
you reminded me of some more reasons, thanks. Oh, and, I can wear my helmet when I ride & snorkel with contacts... no way to do that with glasses that I know of! lol

4. That too. My caving helmet now retired and my snorkeling gear both work
and feel better w/o glasses.
