Late-winter trash is the UGLIEST

We had a beautiful day here in Chicago. The sun was shining and the snow was all gone...revealing three month's worth of trash, dog poop, old leaves, used condoms and broken glass on the sidewalk and parkway. UGH! My husband and I raked up the parkway and swept the sidewalk in front of our building. I spread fresh wood chips in the little garden area and took our front entry mats out and hosed them down. It looks positively fresh now--like SPRING or something.

Look on the bright side though...at least folks are using them!
