Ok, so I watched 4 straight hours of "Whale Wars" on Animal Planet

First, what an amazing show. I think it's bullshit that the Japanese calls what they are doing "Research" - why do you have to kill the animal in order to research it?

But the folks on that ship and especially the captain have some major balls - and they do it just to help save the whales.

Great show and must watch TV!
