7. Yeah well..
you have the bonus of being in Japan, which is pretty kickass!

Not as cool as Seattle of course. :P

Still, way awesome though.

8. It's cool.
Affordable living, at least in my town. Decent nationalized healthcare system. All the nifty techno gadgets and gizmos I can get my greedy little hands on. The Japan Alps are breathtaking, especially in winter. I still do miss home though.

14. 6 months.

I plan to be here another year-and-a-half. But if the U.S. economy doesn't improve, I could stay longer, since my job pays better than anything I had in the States. If * wins, I'm not sure what I'm going to do then either. Sure as hell I'll be casting my absentee ballot!

13. It is very pretty.
Especially on the mountain peaks. But the problem is there's no such thing as central heating here. It just doesn't exist. Rooms are heated by kerosine space heaters and 100 year old stoves. I've stopped using the one in my apartment, since it made me sick, and now just put up with the cold. It's a bit rugged. So I've more than had my fill of winter at this point. Course, come summer it'll be 95* with +80% humidity every day and nothing is air-conditioned either. For all the technology Japan is famous for, they're still amazingly behind in some areas.

I wouldn't exchange the opportunity to do this for anything though. Ah, the things we do for adventure.

2. Yep! Lots of buds on the trees
Soon it'll be time to plant seeds. Many seeds to grow flowers, like poppies and marigolds and nasturtiums!

But Elizabeth will not hold your tea-tray. :P
