1. How would I know they were a 'faith based' company?
Do they pay well?

3. They advertise themselves as such on their recruitment page
I got a cool promotion with my part-time job and now I'm looking to change my full-time job to something with a few less hours a week (plus I'm really hating my employer)

2. Depends what it is and who's running it.
In my old industry, I met a few "Christian-based" business owners that really did live their faith--treating people as they wanted to be treated, giving to charities (and not just their churches' building funds), etc. I'd be OK working for a few of them.

I might work for a YMCA or JCC, which are technically faith-based. Wouldn't work for a church, but I doubt they'd hire me (I'm Jewish). Might work for a synagogue, but I doubt they'd hire me (I'm not a particularly observant Jew).

I would never, ever work for Tom Hignite (Miracle Homes). Because he seems to think he's God.

7. I'm a godless heathen variety of liberal
so I'm really more worried about the god part than the politics part

5. I work for a church--and everyone there is very liberal.
Had a blast talking politics during the campaign.
