I'll start. I want to see a movie based upon the life and death of Hypatia, the last curator of the Library of Alexandria. Comes complete with an outspoken, highly-educated pagan heroine (Jodie Foster should play Hypatia); her dearest friend and pupil, Synesius, a Christian bishop who can only protect her for so long due to his failing health; and an ambitious and scheming villain in the form of Cyril, another Christian prelate who masterminds Hypatia's brual murder.
True story. Comes complete with overtones of feminism in ancient Rome, separation of church and state, the destruction of higher learning by religious zealots, and the rise of the Dark Ages.
