13. Unnecessary correction on her eyes is one problem
Imagine a vertical line running from your browbone to your eyelashes, aligned with your pupil. If you put darker shadow on the "ear" side of that line, your eyes will seem to move apart; put it on the "nose" side of that line and they will seem to move closer together. The darker the shadow you use and the farther out you pull it from that line, the farther the eyes will move. Unless your eyes are extremely far apart, you shouldn't ever need to move them in.

Her natural eyeset is about right, but they've made her up to compensate for an extremely wide eyeset.

Also look how dark her eye creases are--they're trying to open up her eyes and it ain't working, at least not in a close shot like this one. It would on stage, though.

This is a strange face. They've done her eyes so they look right on the stage and her lips & cheeks for the camera. Which throws everything off.

7. My wife said it's the same "Mystic Tan" she's gotten once. Exact shade.
A spray on booth you get in. I guess it's better than getting it by going into a real tanning booth (or tanning coffin, as i've heard doctors refer to it).

She also pointed out that Theron had the exact same Mystic Tan as the model who brought out the Oscar.

11. I noticed. She's a beautiful woman.. But that makeup job,
and hair that matched her dress dress was a bit to overall monochromatic for my taste. Sandra Bullock also looked bronzed. Julia Robert's bronze look at least was interrupted by her dark roots. :puke:

12. Mystic Tan
She should have raised her arms in the booth - you could see the tan line when she turned to hug her mother before going up to receive the award.

And she should have only gotten one layer. The tan was too much - she looked too monochromatic - and her eye makeup was dreadful. She looked sooo much better the night before at the ISAs - more natural, more girl next door.

Nicole Kidman was the most stunning woman of the evening IMO - she always makes wise fashion choices (of course, she has a lot to work with with her statuesque figure, but still....she's a class act).

15. She had a combination of...
spray-on tan and gold body powder -- that's what gave her that "glow" she had going.

I think it was a good look for her, though I do feel they went a little heavy on the 1930s Germany eye make-up. It was correct for the period but simply too harsh for her fair hair.
