Does someone want to borrow my arthritis for today.
x(

I can't take anything that will dull this pain until I pick K up from school. I do not want to drive while on pain meds.

:banghead::banghead:

Someone please take me out back and shoot me.

2. No, it has broken through all that today.
I overdid stuff yesterday. Actually I have been overdoing it all week. Now I pay...

I hate that when I feel good, I get in my head that I am super human, and screw myself up...

Oh well. I will get through it.

7. I'm soooo sorry for you. I can imagine how it feels
Edited on Thu Dec-04-08 02:00 PM by HamdenRice
I'm probably one of the few human creatures on the planet who had a form of arthritis "cured" by surgery -- arthritis up the upper cervical spine that was making me become paralyzed from the neck down and was corrected by a laminectomy. The years of excruciating pain are over, though 10 years later I have other forms of post surgical pain, but pain I would again trade for in a heartbeat to get rid of the arthritis pain.

13. The Irvine school district in its infinite wisdom does not oiffer bus service
K is 7. It is about a mile walk, and K would have to cross a road that has a speed limit of 55.

15. Huh. That's not good.
Now, when I was that age, I had to cross Rt. 122 in Grafton, MA every morning to get to the bus stop. I don't remember what the speed limit was, but it still seems like the bus could have made a stop on the other side of the road to avoid having little kids cross that state highway during rush hour.

Anyway, I feel your pain...literally. :(

12. can we trade?
I'd love to trade, at least for a day. Fucking hell, the guy who lives downstairs thought it was ok to send me a text today at 2pm when I was playing motown songs on the ukulele in the style of Stephen Merritt to ask if I could be quiet, because he was trying to sleep, so it's not like I'll be using my hands for a day anyway. I actually kind of hate this guy now. He bitches all the time, but he's already said that he plans on living here next year. What the fuck? If he keeps being an asshole, I might ask the landlord to kick him out - I could fill the place in a second.

However, that's the least of my problems. I don't know if I'm broken hearted or just as supremely pissed off as I've ever been. Probably both.

16. good answer
It's weird. I hooked this guy up with this place, because he's another American, and I remember how hard it was for me to find a place to rent when I first moved here. Landlords around here are real dicks to both foreigners and students, so the combo is all bad. I don't know what the hell he's used to. When you have neighbours, they make noise. Sometimes last year, my neighbours would be be loud as hell, especially on weekend nights, but that's the life of living in an apartment. If/when he calls me late at night to ask me to be quiet, I understand, but at 2pm it's just fucking crazy. I mean, I never use my guitar amp downstairs, because he's beneath me, but playing a ukulele and singing, even if it's audible, shouldn't be someone's biggest worry during the day. The guy is a massive weirdo - I know, because I am one. I just had parents who raised me to be overly polite.

The only thing I can think of is to turn the heating pad on high and after the kids get home, load up on whatever stops that kind of pain. I do NOT envy you. I only have a slight touch of it and that's too much pain for me when it is acting up.
