8. not just your street
Edited on Thu Dec-04-08 02:06 PM by Zuni
for example, sometimes I go through the City of New York. I mean, I can just go and look through random streets in Queens, Brooklyn or The Bronx and see what the architecture looks like. Or Chicago, Boston or DC. I look at all of them. Or I can look at the house I grew up in. Or I can see what the neighborhood my friend's family lives in.

You can admire vast cityscapes without getting lost and without dealing with traffic.

there are a million cool reasons.

9. I agree.
I love it. I can spend hours looking at places I have been in my childhood, or places I have never been.

11. exactly
I explore whole cities. Cities I have never been, like Chicago or Boston and places I have been and examine what the neighborhoods look like and such. I find all kinds of cool places.

14. Yes! Especially since I found . . .
. . . the hotel, the hotel, the most fabulous hotel I've ever stayed in and at which we will spend a week next month. The camera takes me right to the entrance, where I drive in and the lovely valet takes away my lovely rental car.

I. Can't. Wait!

15. I was google street mapping to find the location of a
graveside service a couple of weeks back and in one of the cars, the poor driver was picking his nose.

Even though this should be a solemn moment.

18. I kinda like MSN's bird's eye view too.
In some areas it's up really close, others not so much. With the bird's eye view you can do a 360 on the property and move the map around IMO, easier than google.
