2. I hope they're becoming more easily available
so people can figure out how to convert them into homes and stuff. That's pretty cool. :)

3. I live in a port city and can get them delivered for less than 2K each
I am working to design a floor plan. My SO's mother has acreage west of Jacksonville and would let me try to convert one on her land

4. $2,000 each?
Those things are just left at the port, free of charge.

You would think they would be cheaper than $2,000.

5. I've been looking at these for a long time now.
Think they would be great for the family ranch.

15. The "giant-unfolding-robot" option is extra.
But it's an option, I believe.

13. I, too, want
but my hubby won't go for it. A friend of mine has plans to build a container home and studio in NW Michigan. I'll have to be content visiting...

Check out the animated walk-through on his website---> http://www.johntunger.com/2008/11/animated-walkth.html

14. There's a few sorta like that out where I live.
Only they're more like railroad cars than shipping containers, and only one seems to have been converted into a living area.

16. It would be really, cool, though...
...if it could transform into an eighteen-wheeler or a jet fighter.

Several of them together could form Cratimus Prime.

17. It's an awesome idea.
If I didn't already have a small house, I'd do it in a heartbeat. There have been some really great plans out there for years now.

Go for it! :hi:
