I danced at a third-grade dance to those songs. They are classic.

6. Eye of the Tiger or The Final Countdown?
Which is most appalling?
Or is it Bad Medicine by Bon Jovi?

So many questions.

9. Come on now
Eye of the Tiger has redeeming qualities. It was in a Mr. T movie.

I give it a pass.

8. Swing Out Sister
Quick scan of the choices... no rational thought or comparison... just a visceral reaction to the memory of that quivering abortion of a song...

uuuuuuuuuuuugggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh!

Faith Hill is hot, but after hearing her apply the patented Nashville Twang-Mangle to Janis Joplin's "Piece of My Heart", I wanted to hit her in the face with an axe.

Looks do nothing to shield bad music from the lash of hostile criticism.

I liked his voice, the song was infectious, AND he was cute.

What more can you ask for??

Some people hearing his voice (including myself) thought that Rick Astley was black. Believe it or not.

25. I'm shocked that Steve Miller and "Abracadabra" was left of the list...
I've beat this drum many times before. IMNSHO, that song is one of the worst ever created, let alone narrowing the selection criteria to the '80's. It has the distinction of not only being one of the worst songs ever created, but the accompanying video is equally as awful in its design and execution.

Pure mastery of dreck, that song was.
Hideously bad.
Epicly crappy.
Unequaled in it's nastiness.
A fetid, festering piece of effluent.

Shall I go on?

"I wanna reach out and grab ya..."

Lyrics that could truly change a life. Ask Bob Packwood. (Gotta go back a ways for that political reference...);-)

32. We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off
by Jermaine Stewart

Not a word, from your lips
You just took for granted that I want to skinny dip.
A quick hit, that's your game.
But I'm not a piece of meat, still you like my brain.
Night is young, so are we.
Let's get to know each other better, slow & easily.
Take my hand, let's hit the floor.
Shake our bodies to the music.
Maybe then you'll score.

Chorus: So come on baby, won't you show some class
Why you want to move so fast.
We don't have to take our clothes off
To have a good time
Oh no
We could dance & party all night
And drink some cherry wine
Uh huh
We don't have to take our clothes off
To have a good time
Oh no

We could dance & party all night (all night)
And drink some cherry wine
Uh huh
Na na na na na na na............

Just slow down if you want me
A man wants to be approached cool & romantically
I've got needs
Just like you
If the conversation's good
Vibrations through & through

So come on baby, won't you show some class
Why you want to move so fast
We don't have to take outr clothes off
To have a good time
Oh no
We could dance & party all night (all night)
And drink some cherry wine
Uh huh
Na na na na na na.........

Of course anything by New Kids on the Block would also qualify for worst 80's song.
