1. Adrian Bel-who?

No idea who he is. He looks like some old 80's hair-rocker who should retire from touring to sell hardware or vacuum cleaners.

7. He did that incredible shrieking guitar solo on NIN's "The Becoming".
He, and his work, rule.

3. Anyone who votes "annoying" in this poll needs taste, an imagination and a life.
That is all.

5. I went for option 2 because of that picture alone
I actually like some things that he's done, both solo and in different bands, but he looks like such a douchebag there that I can't resist but hate him.

10. Also played with Laurie Anderson...
On "Mister Heartbreak"(what a great album that is and what a great line-up...her, Adrian, Anton Fier, Bill Laswell, David Van Tiegham, guests Peter Gabriel and William Burroughs). He also toured with her and is in the "Home Of The Brave" movie. I saw Laurie Anderson on tour for "Mister Heartbreak" at the Hult Center in Eugene but I don't think Adrian was there. Still, a fantastic show!

I did see Adrian with The Bears a few years later and it was also a good show. I Love his albums "Lone Rhino" and "Twang-Bar King" but haven't followed him so much lately. He (and Laurie) also are on Jean Michel-Jarre's album "Zoolook" which is my favorite album by him... But I like all those people, Bowie, Eno, Zappa, Gabriel, Fripp, Anderson, etc...

11. Yeah, he's a total ham in "Home of the Brave."
I think he does a fair bit of goofing around on "Stop Making Sense" too, but I haven't seen it in awhile.

13. Actually a nice guy and a pretty damn good musician..
Met him in The Esquire when he was working with King Crimson in a studio behind CV Lloyd. He lived in Urbana for a while but I never met hm until he was doing that session in 82 or 83. We used to go see him play in a couple of the bars in town. He'd speak--he was not stuck up at all given who all he'd played with by that point in his career.

We USED to have a good music scene in this town. Sad to say, that has gone by the wayside.
