Destructive people *don't* often apologize. But I've also found that sometimes people who do apologize make it feel like it's about them, even if you're the one hurt, which makes things worse. It's like a lose/lose. Also, if you usually act deliberately and mindfully yourself, you find that even if you've wronged someone, you don't feel exactly like apologizing, so much as "explaining." But "I'm sorry" still seems like the proper way to start, even as a formality.
I like your blog's voice, already, because it's true like that, and makes you think about that sort of thing.
(Disclaimer: I have a blog, myself:

It's kind of a catharsis to do a blog--I had an abortive blog before my current one that I got frustrated with and deleted, but I just ended up starting another one. It's odd, I never could keep a diary when I was a teenager, even though people always told me it was good for writing. But it's
private. Whether I'm doing fanfic or blogging or being on a forum, I just kind of like putting it out there. It's like what I write matters more if there's a chance of sharing it. Starting a blog is kind of a neat way to really see what matters enough to write about and share. It's a good thing!
