Things are good! Just finished all my grading for the quarter, and i have next quarter off from teaching, so i just have to... write my dissertation. Right, that little thing. ;)

They are really neat, REALLY hard to find -- they live under GIANT rocks in rivers. And they don't survive if the rivers have too much silt or fertilizer runoff, etc. So there's really only one place that we can still find them in Ohio. They are doing better in areas of WV and PA, though.

I have only found them when we go out with a crew of people... you need a bunch of strong guys to lift the rocks! We try not to bug them too much, just do a census every once in a while to see how they're doing. :)
