The excitement I feel about this situation is like that of being disemboweled so don't expect a lot of humor from me tonight.

Any time I tried to be "friends" with an old girlfriend, it was dysfunctional.

My advice: For a while, throw yourself into whatever work you do. Don't jump into another relationship till you know you are ready.
