His "Letter to Louise" may be lengthy but well worth the read. It warms my heart to know that not all Baptist ministers (retired or otherwise) harbor and spread hate. One of my staff members went downtown to be a part of Georgia Equality's rally and she was really affected by it. The signs carried by the christian coalition were vitriolic, but the thing that bothered her most were the kids they had holding these signs. These people really need to visit godmademegay.com!

7. The gay Marriage issue is a diversionary tactic only

I truly believe it will back-fire in Bush*s face.
A co-worker of mine is trekking to San Francisco with her "partner" to get hitched. If anyone says anything negative at work, I'll cut them off at the knees.
Gay/lesbian, straight, whatever..We are all human beings who have the same rights as the other. Period. nuff said.

all these folks who scream they don't want the gay agenda "shoved down their throat". Maybe I don't read the papers enough or something, but I haven't seen the recruitment posters. Nobody is forcing another person to be gay. I see this so much as a civil rights issue. I am also ashamed that I live in GA, a place that gets hammered for backwards thinking concerning racism and such, yet still wants to be behind the times. Instead of being to busy to hate it seems too many folks here can only think of hate. Ga has the opportunity to lead the nation. Think ahead of the times, not behind the times, yet we (as a state) refuse to. Looking to the future, I would expect gay marriage to be legal. Unfortunately, it might be a while. The friendliness and welcome the south is supposed to offer should stand for that, not what too many fundies GUESS Jesus or God would think...Kevin.
