I lost my ipod last night
I was on the Denver/Boulder shuttle and I was loaded down with so much stuff that I didn't notice that I forgot it until I got to the bus stop to get to my boyfriends house.

Oh well, I am going to miss it but I am not going to replace it. Too much of a pain in the ass to download the files.

I'll just amuse myself with DU on the bus.

1. Oh no!!
Do you think, possibly, by some odd chance, someone might have turned it in?

I know, that might be an unrealistic hope. But it never hurts to check. People turn in iPods all the time at airports.

3. I already called lost and foud
I thought since it's a commuter bus and not a regular city bus that maybe someone would have turned it in. No go.

2. It was probably stolen by the gloves I lost on that same route last winter.
I wonder if it might have gone undetected by any fellow travelers all night and the driver collected it when the shift was done. Is it possible to get the number of the vehicle from the route schedule and check with RTD? There's got to be enough specific stuff on the iPod that only you would be able to identify to claim it.

6. Write this on the inside, "These gloves have been where the sun don't shine.
Call 720-555-5555 to return them. Sincerely, Butt Toucher."

4. RTD's lost and found is a joke.
Why don't they look through the security cameras to find out who stole it? Shouldn't this be considered theft of some kind (perhaps not as bad as outright theft, but damn near close to it.)

That's very poor customer service.

7. Did you go on the DD?

That route ends at Colorado station, which I live next to, I might go see what they do when they turn around the buses. Do they actually look for stuff?

I don't think they do, I'm pretty sure they rely on people coming forward with the stuff, which seems like a bad idea. Can't the driver do a short walk through to see if there is anything on the bus?

Who knows, maybe you should complain to one of the investigative reporters in town? It's not right, iPods are expensive, and I suspect this is a fairly common thing. How much money is being lost to theft?

8. No, I take the BX to table mesa
then catch the 209 to my boyfriend's house. It was my stupid fault for losing the damn thing. Normally when I leave the bus i check my seat to see if I left anything behind...last night I didn't...

11. Yeah they do.
Like I said, I can still surf the web with my phone at least. It's slow, but it's also somewhat of a long bus ride.I always thought the demise of my Ipod was going to be it breaking down. I never thought in a million years that I would lose it.

9. I lost mine back in March.
And I have to say as a long time IPOD user - I miss the firewire connection. That made downloading songs about 1,000 times faster than USB.

12. It's one of my daily fears.
I tend to lose things, misplace them, forget them, step on them, sit on them........you get the picture. My husband bought an 80GB iPod for me that plays movies, etc. If I lose it, it's about $300 bucks down the drain. Now I walk around paranoid that I left it somewhere. Sometimes I almost wish he'd just buy me the junkier stuff so I don't have to worry about it all the time.

Sorry to hear you lost yours. Do you really think it's a pain to download music? I thought it was the easiest way to get music I ever experienced.

13. I think I would run myself through with a Katana if I lost my iPod.
I simply could not live without it.
