My divorce attorney sent me what he called a "questionarre" to fill out before our first hearing and it is 67 freaking pages long?! If I wasn't so miserable, this alone would be enough to give me second thoughts

Every step of the way I had people asking me "Are you sure you want to do this?"
No, I really enjoy putting myself through a meatgrinder daily. Thanks for asking. :eyes:
:banghead:
You get some of the whiff of the "women don't know their own minds" mentality that used to permiate the civil atmosphere.

9. I can see how it would feel like that |
|
But I went through the same interrogation as a male.
"Are you sure you want to do this?"
"Was it really that bad?"
Etc, etc.

I mean it's not like I just woke up one day with my panties in a twist and thought "Hmmmm, maybe I'll go get a divorce attorney! That'll spice things up". And some of the questions are totally invasive :eyes:

67 pages. Kee-rist what is so involved that it takes 67 pages?
I got a separation agreement before hand, so the actual divorce was much less involved.
Much luck to you, mcctatas.

the odd thing is I actually feel better than I have in years knowing that there is an end in sight, that makes me sound like a heartless bitch but really I feel like my life might not suck forever.

4. You never know what kind of person you really married... |
|
...until you see them in divorce court.
Hopefully third times the charm here.

13. I'm gonna try that "do your own divorce" thing. |
|
I hope there isn't some monstrous stupid questionnaire in it.

15. I think it could all be accomplished in a single page. |
|
Just one question, with a yes/no check box: Is your spouse a fucking asshole? :graybox:
What else is needed?

17. Gee, they should make people do this to get married, not divorced. |
|
But I'm sure that wouldn't fly.
