I posted this a while back, but I was looking at something else on the Internet Archive, and it reminded me that I had posted this album:
http://www.archive.org/details/rayduerr_weveneverbeenthiscloseThe description I originally posted:
Ray Duerr is my father-in-law. He had some minor success in the Central Pennsylvania area with the Ray Duerr Band in the 1970s and 80s. (He was also roommates with Ward Stout, fiddle player for Aaron Tippin.) About 8 years ago, he suffered a stroke, and hasn't been able to play music since. His friends took a number of multitrack recordings he had made before the stroke, finished them (where necessary), and compiled this collection. The music goes from rock to country to country rock to singer/songwriter...a little something for everybody. I strongly encourage you to give it a listen, and if you like it, pass it along to a friend. (Heck, pass it along to a friend if you DON'T like it.) And if you know somebody in "the biz" who might be interested in recording these songs, even better.
I'm distributing these recordings with full permission of Ray Duerr (and his lovely daughter, my wife).
