As my one and only snow day ends, I am left with a beautiful sky.
And it was a perfectly lazy day! I hate to see it end.

1. We only got a few hours of snow.
It snowed maybe 4 hours or so and then was gone.

It was snow, and it was fun playing in it.

We built a small snow person, and had snow ball fights.

I live in the wrong part of the world.

I would take snow over our summer heat any day.

2. I am with you 110%! The heat and humidity are miserable!
Snow is rare for us too. It only snowed a few hours here too, but those few hours were great!

3. Everyone was out playing like kids.
The little kids were so excited, it was fun to watch them.

4. We always have room for an extra witch in Pennsylvania...
usually get some snow, too. Had 8 feet back in '96, due for another big one.

8. I am so into cold weather.
When I was in the Army, I loved being in Europe.

The best Christmas I ever had was spend in Germany, lots of snow.

You could also tell who came from the south on the Army base, we were crazy about snow.

12. no you aren't, it's a nice connection to the world on a snowy day with a
little one in tow. I kind of wish I'd had DU when I was on my maternity leave and when my kid was small. It's a nice online addition to real world pals...

9. Because us Mississippians are a bunch of fools when it snows.
We don't know how to act! It snows where I live once every 5 to 10 years. It is rare. We are pros at tornadoes and hurricanes, but throw us a little snow and we don't know what to do.

10. People from Houston are the same.
I learned how to drive in bad weather when I lived in Austin.

We have hills, no snow days for us on that job.

11. Actually, the majority of Houston drivers don't know how to drive
in any form of precipitation!

I was elated a few weeks back when I was able to drive the speed limit (60mph) on 610 W during the rain and could let the Rain-X do its job on my windshield, i.e., wipers off and a clearer view than with them on :D

Normally, any amount of rain and they're driving 20mph under the limit as if they're going to hydroplane at any speed. That's probably true for some of them as their tires are bald. :o

13. if it's any consolation, people here near Pittsburgh do the same thing

it's kind of odd. But we do know how to drive in snow for the most part. Last weekend I skidded a few times on a new light and icy snow since the city didn't really salt the way that it should be.

I had fun telling my son how many times I had skidded into ditches (at least 4 or 5) in the winter (fortunately no injuries or harm done) over the years here....
