Another reason to dump this guy.
How did I ever get involved with a homophobic racist who thinks taking children to see the Passion of the Christ would be a fine Sunday activity? Is that before or after they are traumatized for life?
I'm disgusted with myself for staying so long.
I should invite him to go out with me...and my gay brother. I think that would take care of the problem once and for all.

people who date opposites are in major denial about themselves, obviously you like him if you're asking DU why you should dump him

6. You misread my post.
I didn't ask them why I should dump him.
I pointed out the reasons why I am. But I, unlike my Republican counterparts, thought to give him a shot and see if he really was such a bad guy under it all.
Surprise, he is.
That's the last time I attempt to find the good in everybody.

10. Wow, poetry................seriously what else?
Rednecks write poetry, racists write poetry........what are you leaving out? I know that liberal minds are easy targets for conservatives, We are more likely to trust, thus be taken advantage of. How long did you date him? and how many dates did it take to get intimate? AND please dont think I'm being lurid, I dont know you nor your real name, I'm curious about the predatory nature of this guy, men will date women just or only for sex, opinions and independent thinking just get in the way.

11. Yeah, that's another thing.
We've been involved for a couple months, but he's been weary of calling me his "girlfriend" because he was engaged and it didn't work out.
But mind you, he doesn't want me seeing other people. So how does that work?
I suppose I'm one of those people who felt sympathetic toward him and wanting to help mend his heart, so to speak. Also, I have an incredible knack for getting involved with assholes.
This time was no exception.

13. My friends...
Tend to be so self absorbed that I'm lucky to get a hello before they launch into their latest tale of sorrow.
This might shock you (or it might not) but I'm going to be 18 this month.
And yes, he's older, 21 to be exact. So even though our relationship was illegal, I genuinely thought he was an okay guy for a while. At least, he was at first. And it wasn't about sex, he's a devout Catholic (which I suppose explains the homophobia) and a virgin at that. Probably because he can't treat girls well enough to get laid.
Ho hum.

...on political punk! I came up in the '80s, when you practically weren't allowed to buy cheap gear without promising to write a song called "I Hate Reagan." Discovering Jello Biafra probably saved my fucking hide!

21. LOL
I take that as a compliment. Europeans have always seemed to lead us in maturity. If only more American teenagers could be as open minded. But I have hope for my generation...we seem to be more liberal leaning.

25. Not half bad.
Here we go, you hit some...

1. I read a TON. Michael Moore, Al Franken, the best works liberal writers have to offer. I've also been known to like the classics and mystery novels as well.

2. I have shoulder length black hair, dyed. It's naturally dark brown. But it's been blonde, purple, red...pick a color.

3. I own a car. I practically live in it, heh.

4. Green eyes. With a hint of brown in the center. You were close.

5. Third generation, that I'm not certain of. I think it's way more than that.

6. True, my friends always seek me out for that stuff.

7. Parents together for 26 years, give me hope not all men are horrible.

8. I actually like summer best, but can appreciate autumn.

9. And yes, my dog is the greatest. Dogs are much more friendlier than people. Haha.

From a few posts, you're pretty intuitive. Then again, us leftists seem to be more sensitive, no?

35. It's a myth.
The whole "women don't go for nice guys" thing isn't true- it's just that it's hard to find them. And after being burned time and time again, it takes a toll on your self-esteem so you automatically tend to seek out those who reinforce your negative beliefs in yourself.
I think accents are great, makes people seem more intelligent (not that you need help there). I thought you were probably born in a different country, just got the impression.
I love taking pictures, but the only developing I get done is at work. I'm pretty good with the film machine, heh.
Thanks for satisfying my curiousity.
