Help me get to 7,000 posts, ask me ANYTHING!
That's right, I'm three weeks shy of my first DU anniversary and I've already got almost 7,000 posts! Which just goes to show that I basically have no life outside of work and my son, but what the hell, there are worse things in life to be addicted to than DU.

I'm feeling generous tonight, so help me make it to the big 7-0-0-0 by asking me ANYTHING and I'll answer it!

4. LOL!
I would if I had it, but unfortunately all my creditors seem to have their hands out all at once, so I can't help ya there, I'm afraid!

5. I believe I can answer that one!
Lisa (a/k/a liberalhistorian) and I will finally meet for the first time the weekend of my birthday, March 19-21. We're hooking up in Pennsylvania, halfway between her stomping ground (Ohio) and mine (Connecticut). Suffice it to say, we're both champing at the bit!

he's a terrier-beagle mix and a friend of my parents found him as a stray.

18. The other dog's name is
Bacca (at least, that's how we THINK it's spelled), we got her from the Humane Society when she was about two years old and she was already used to the name her first family gave her, so we just kept it. She was already well-trained, too. She's a mix, she has Chow, Newfoundland and God knows what else in her.

19. My favorite cat's name is
Kipper, he's a mackerel tabby, the mellowest, sweetest, nicest cat I've ever known. I call him Tiger Boy 'cause he looks like a miniature tiger, and has the ego and hunting skill to match! We got him from the Humane Society six years ago, when he was four months old, my son picked him out. He's named for a character in The English Patient (my parents love the book and movie, I don't).

20. The next cat is Hannah,
a tortoise shell, whom we got as a kitten, she's named after Kipper's lover in The English Patient.

21. And the next cat is
Bandit, we got him from the Humane Society when he was two years old, a couple days before he was scheduled to be euthanized. He was already named and used to the name, so we just kept it. He's a Munchkin cat, the only one we've ever seen (where their front paws are shorter than their back paws). He's also the heaviest cat we've ever had, which is strange because he's outside all the time, moving around, and he never eats human food, the only cat I've ever known who doesn't.

22. And finally, we have Fancie,
the smallest cat. We got her when we thought she was only six weeks old, it turned out she was actually almost two years old! We got her from a woman living nearby known as the "cat lady" because she has at least 15 cats all the time, and umpteen kittens of various ages running around. It turned out that Fancie had lived on the hill in the back of her house, taking care of herself, for over a year, and was so small because she didn't get the proper nutrition. My mom named her Fancie from the Reba McIntyre song.
