Whew! That full body armor gets heavy after a while. Ah, what the hell, I'm in the lounge anyway.

Dad is recovering from back surgery and a Percocet dependency. Kicking the drug addiction has been more painful than the back surgery. The doctor's fed him pain pills for 6 months before he had the surgery. Why, I have no idea.

Step-dad had his gall bladder removed a couple of days ago. He's still in the hospital. Probably be home in a couple of days. When I think of him, I think of strength. He's a big, tall man. It feels weird to see him so weak right now.

My brother-in-law has lost his job, a victim of the ailing, auto, industry cutbacks. We ain't gonna let him starve, though. It's good to have a family where everyone gets along.

Everyone else is doing fine. I'm trying to find a mate, but have been fucking that up lately, as you can see from my thread here on the front page.

The family is healthy, we all speak to one another, the economy hasn't really impacted us personally (knocks on wood).

Expecting my oldest daughter home for her school break in about a week.
