Most vegatarian friendly NFL stadium food -OAKLAND!??!?
1. San Diego
2. Oakland OAKLAND?!!?
3. Philadelphia PHILLY?!!?
4. Minnesota
5. Green Bay GREEN BAY?!!?

The stereotype includes steel nails and raw, just-sacrificed animal flesh, but according to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, Raiders fans are served the second-most vegetarian-friendly stadium food in the NFL.

PETA praised the Raiders for a menu that includes veggie dogs, veggie burgers, baked potatoes, peanuts, popcorn and pretzels.

"Raiders fans have enough to worry about -- they don't need to be thinking about the clogged arteries and cruelty to animals that come with eating meat," PETA Assistant Director Dan Shannon said in a news release. "The best way that fans can tackle their health problems and score some points for animals at the same time is to give these great vegetarian options a try."

San Diego’s Qualcomm Stadium topped the list, perhaps predictably. But surprising runners-up included Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field at No. 3 and Green Bay’s Lambeau Field -- supposed home of bratwurstmania -- at No. 5.

1. Bronco fan-flavored tofu
These guys put out a similar list for baseball parks last summer. Amazingly, Manchester, NH (home of the NH Fisher Cats) came out on top. Manchester is a town where you can actually order poutine at a couple of restaurants, so healthy cuisine is not something that usually comes to mind when discussing Manch Vegas.

12. French Fries. Cheese curd. Brown gravy.
An attempt by the French-Canadians that they are actually more pathetic cooks than the Yankees and the Irish.

3. No I haven't
I thought that the article summed up the IMAGE of Oakland at least of its football fans

I have heard that San Diego is one tough crowd too-the article relies on the beach-going-surf-dude image of SD though.

4. I thought they were just referring to stadium food
And usually the stadiums do reflect the culture of their cities - for example they have a serious Polish Saussage presence at Wrigley, Sushi at SF Giants Stadium (sure, it's called AT&T Park this week), and you can get black bean soup at the Dolphin's stadium.

13. That's what I thought
Oakland always struck me as the gritty white trash flip side to the genteel San Francisco.

You're right about the stadium food. Where else but Fenway would a hot bowl of clam chowder at a ball game make any sense?

22. Exactly - and a good reason why even if you don't like baseball
Seeing a local game when you visit a city is always fun

way better than SF (not what you would expect).

and Oakland was serving asian dishes all the way back in the 1980's.

7. Here, (San Diego)
both stadiums, Qualcomm and Petco Park - have fantastic food - overpriced but good. Lots of salads and wraps - Sushi for fish eating vegetarians - And then there is BBQ and other meat based stuff for the meat eaters.

Mmmmm, makes me hungry just thinking about it.

:D

9. "fish eating vegetarians" are omnivores.
I know there are people who try to present themselves as vegetarians and aren't, but it's like saying "bacon eating vegetarians," it really doesn't make any sense. They're really just meat eaters who only eat some meat.

21. Why is "correct" in quotes?
You just admitted that you knowingly posted something stupid and incorrect.

People who eat dead animals are not vegetarians.

17. There is NO such thing as a fish eating vegetarian
And I say this as someone who eats no meat other than fish.

People who claim to be vegetarian, but eat chicken or fish can go fuck off, because they make it harder for actual vegetarians.

14. We're talking about the Oakland F*****g Raiders!
The veggie bit might make sense at a 49ers, Warriors, Sharks, Giants, or even A's game, but the Raiders are supposed to be the silver-and-black white trash biker gang clusterfuck of the NFL.

is when they gnaw the bark off of trees.

WTF? The home of Bratwurst, Venison, and all sorts of cheese-laden goodness?

Besides, PETA members are practically hunted for sport up here.
