My cold little children like these, but I am curious as to how they fasten in the back. Do you tie it behind you? Or is it more like a poncho that fits over your head?

Anyone know?

1. I don't think they do fasten. They're supposed to be basically a blanket

with sleeves. At least, that's how the commercials present them.

I think they be more useful if you could somehow tie them behind you. I guess I could sew some ties on if need be. Sigh.

2. Nope, I don't think they fasten

and are kind of like hospital gowns without the ineffectual ties. I have a friend who got one last Xmas and loves it, but she lives in ND in a drafty old house the middle of nowhere. According to her, the original ones were rather plush, but the ripoff ones they're now advertising 2-for-1 are half the weight and pretty much a WalMart quality. I suppose if I could give names, I might actually be helpful. . . Sorry.

For myself, I think I'd prefer to get a nice wool afghan and some fluffy socks. I think those gaudy colors would drive me nuts.
