Daddy's Limping. (no, not a new country song)
Here's Daddy from a few years ago.

Now it's his left front paw. We won't be able to take him in until Wednesday.

Anyone wanna guess what the problem is? Whoever gets closest wins an all-expenses-paid trip to Cucamonga.

1. Oh no! Poor Daddy.
He is awesome ... Reminds me of one of my first kitties.

Maybe he jumped down from someplace and tweaked his leg/paw?

Hope his widdle footy gets better soon.

4. could be from a jump
He's a sweet cat and a furry little bastard. He gets on my last nerve but I don't want him hurting. Fortunately he is still fully himself, so I don't feel too bad about not being able to make it to the vet til Weds.

What's the cat's name he reminds you of?

5. My big orange and white guy, Milo, sprained his shoulder a few months ago,
probably from jumping off the refrigerator. I noticed he was limping, couldn't find any visible injury, so we went to the vet. They couldn't find anything, either; said it was probably a sprain of some kind from jumping. He's a big (chubby) cat. He stopped limping within a few days.

9. that's one of the reasons we didn't rush him right in -
hoping it might resolve itself. Our vet is expensive - worth it, but it still bites.

7. Sputnik.
He and his sister were the first kitties I had on my own (with my boyfriend/husband) and not my parents. His sister is 16 and still healthy and frisky. Sputnik died five years ago, though. :(

2. Did he get bitten? Bee sting, maybe?
Or is he faking it? I once knew a dog who injured his paw and as a result he got a lot of attention and treats while it was healing. Later, whenever he wanted attention he'd limp -- but he would usually forget which paw to limp on, so his people quickly figured out he was faking. I don't know if cats do that sort of thing but I wouldn't put it past them.

OTOH, in the more likely event he really did hurt his paw, I hope he gets it fixed up and healed soon.

6. Daddy doesn't have to fake it

Daddy came to us as a stray. We have learned that the young man whose kitten he was played with the cat with his - the man's - food. Primarily fast food, and specifically, based on how he reacts to them, Checkers french fries. Daddy is the biggest little asshole when you're trying to eat. He has to eat what you are eating right now and he will get into your face - literally in your face, pawing your fork out of your mouth - to get it.

So he doesn't have to fake it. He'll do his damnedest to get what he wants without bucking for sympathy.

:hi:

3. He injured
his paw when he got it caught in something and yanked out the claw?

Cucamonga is not too far from here - about 1.5 to 2 hours drive. I really don't want to go... :)

8. Fortunately his claws are intact
but that's all I can see because he won't let me hold him down. Furry little bastard.
