2. I have his books but I rather have the cd's. |
|
Do you listen to This American Life on the radio, David Sedaris reads some of his works on the program.
I have found this neat store a few years ago that sells books and cds for 70 percent off.
There was a collection of David's books on cds's really cheap.
I love to listen to him.

5. Oh, that's a good one. |
|
He always makes me laugh.
I used to listen to his CD's during my commute. One time I was laughing so hard I almost drove into the ditch.
Have an autographed copy of "Me Talk Pretty One Day". He signed it before a "concert". I'd go see/listen him any time.
Happy reading!

6. I'm reading it, I wish I had gotten the CD from the library instead |
|
I can only imagine how much better it would be. Have heard him on the radio and I bet he brings a lot of vocal nuance to the readings.

11. I know, I laugh at that every |
|
time. I encourage you to get the CD "Holiday on Ice", either as a purchase or from the library. These excepts came from there.
The bit that still cracks me up, brings tears to my eyes is when he's singing "Away in a Manger" in the style of Billy Holiday. It's a longer piece on the CD (book). Utterly hilarious.

12. I friend gave me 'Barrel Fever' a bunch of years ago |
|
I couldn't quite get the hang of it until I got the knack for sort of reading it in Sedaris' voice. After that, it was magical.
