the girls walked around singing "We're gonna whack your willy". We are a sick bunch here in the tundra!

31. That is an EXCELLENT idea.
I saw a story on TV last week about a beagle that had been lost for 5 years, and was finally returned because a shelter 1000 miles away read the chip he had in him. They were able to find the owners. No one was able to find out how he had gotten so far from home.

17. My godkitten got spayed yesterday,
and her "dad" just emailed me to tell me she bled all over the laundry room in the middle of the night. :( So they're back in the truck this morning on their way to the vet again. The vet's name? Dr. Bill. I crack up whenever my friend refers to Dr. Bill.

21. That's scary.
When I was in college I had a border collie that I took to be spayed at the vet school. Late in the afternoon they called me and said "We're really sorry to tell you this, but.... heart stops... we had an emergency come in and we didn't get to your dog today".

23. Oh, my god.
That's a kinda shitty bedside manner, if you ask me. My heart beats outta my chest if Ginger's doctor even gives me a worried glance. x(

I'm sure my godkitty Brooks will be fine. Dr. Bill said she probably just got some of her stitches out; she was playful and happy when my friend put her into his truck. :)

26. I just brought him home
and there was a few minutes of mournful howling. Then he quieted down, ate some food, and fell asleep. He's had pain medication, so there's nothing to do.

He did inspect himself at the vet and notice his testicles were gone. How can they possibly understand the things we do? I know it was the right thing but I hate hearing him cry.

no effects of the surgery at all. They heal quickly and I don't think he'll hold a grudge. You did the right thing.

28. Why the Bob Barker?
We should teach our animal friends to take vows of second virginity, and to save themselves for marriage. It works with humans, it'll be even easier for pets to "Just say no".

44. My vet and I talked about this and she didn't recommend it.
I think its more for the owner than the dog, frankly. If someone is showing a dog, maybe that's a good reason to do it. I don't think a male dog is concerned about how he looks or what other dogs think- he knows he's had a part cut off and it hurts.

He lost his chance.

Anyway, he probably couldn't figure it out. Our bitch is better at humping him than he is. She'll be getting spayed soon.
