I can't find my glasses!!!!!!!!

I have lost my most valuable possession.

I can't find my glasses!!!!

I can see perfectly well within eight inches of my face. I sometimes wear them to do computer stuff and sometimes don't (if I lean forward, I don't need them for the computer).

Beyond that, the world is a blur.

I had a nasty headache, so I went to bed at 6:00ish or so and ended up sleeping for a few hours. At some point, I took the glasses off to sleep (I guess), and now I can't find them.

I am BLIND without them (except for within eight inches of my face). I mean, my driver's license is restricted, and without them I can only identify people by SMELL, kind of blind.

So far, the only solution I can think of is to turn on every light in the house, including my 40,000 LUX light therapy box, and put on my prescription sunglasses to try to find my real glasses.

I will never be able to look at myself in the mirror again without laughing at what a fool I am if I have to do that.


On edit: Well, I'm one of the world's great living fools. I put on my prescription shades and turned on every light in the house and found them. LOL.

1. alot of cool people wore sunglasses on a regular basis...

sure most of them were blind, the ones that werent were really eccentric, but thiers nothin wrong with that! lol good luck in finding your glasses, ive gone through the same thing, weekly usuially.

Just retrace your steps.. They are most likely somewhere near where you fell asleep, or near the computer station. Or somewhere in between. Good hunting!

4. I have vision

as bad, if not, worse than yours. I purchased a pair of rimless glasses with little brown tiny strips for frames. If I set them down, they immediately disappeared. I finally had to get a large box and get in the habit of putting them there. I'm not a creature of habit nor consistent behavior. I bought a new pair of glasses. Maybe we should invent some sort of a beeper thing to attach to glasses like they do to keys? Mail me and we will work on it K? We might become billionaires *S*.

I know that this is beyond frustrating and maddening, but they will turn up, especially since you know you had them on )or nearby) when you went to sleep earlier.

8. I can sympathize

my eyes are not as bad as yours but I consantly lose my glasses. I work on a PC all day and cannot read a screen well without them. I see just fine at four feet and farther back. It occurs to me I'd be just fi9ne if I had four foot arms. :D
