Or were you looking for help, a solution. If that's it, I read EA literature, go to a meeting, call into a phone meeting, call or e-mail my sponsor.

12. Start fighting it as hard as I can. First, I pay close attention to what I'm eating.
Only good, healthy foods. I try to regulate my sleep as much as possible (not too much, not too little). I increase my exercise to make sure I get a little every day, as much outside as possible. I make myself get out and do something, even if it's by myself (go to a movie, museum, etc.).

I've battled with major, major depression in the past, and I have a set of tools I use (as mentioned above) that I use any time I feel myself sliding back there again. And if necessary, if my stop-gap actions don't help, then I see a doctor. It's a horrible place to be, I know.

20. Play the guitar or banjo.
It's hard to be down when you play the banjo. In fact, you just can't play a sad song on the banjo.

24. .

Eat healthy foods.
Get enough sleep.
Stick to a basic daily routine (up at the same time, bed at the same time, etc.)
Get daily exercise outdoors (any kind, any amount, even if it's just a walk around the block).
Cry when you feel like crying.
Reach out to/lean on friends; talk it out.
Help someone even less fortunate.

Repeat.

27. Acknowledge it - then...
Escape somehow. That's a bad habit, but I'm trying to give up though. Escape via beer, sleep, mindless activity (aka video games), TV, movies, write, growl, snarl... see, not good :P

Talking helps me a lot.
